First Baptist Church of Ixonia is a 18-year-old congregation that is based off a 120-year-old Church built in 1895. We are in a rural village-like town of 4,562 people between Milwaukee and Madison Wisconsin. Our average attendance in our Sunday morning worship service is around 25 people, with 10 additional shut-ins. We are American Baptist and associated with the reginal American Baptist association Our style of worship is blended between traditional and contemporary. We are working our way through some small issues of conflict, but 90% of the congregation is completely unified around our mission. We are driven by mission to the surrounding community. As such, we have ministries reaching out to the poor, homeless, widows, single parents. We are the only church that has a food pantry on site and service to anyone that is need. We do employ a church secretary, treasurer, IT and Sound and have many volunteers to help us lead, our food pantry, garden/ yard work upkeep. Our sunshine girls send out cards on the days they are needed: sick, loss, birthday, anniversary and just thinking of you. We are also very proud of our prayer chain of church family and members. We are a strong and stable congregation, and we know God will take us through to find a new Pastor that is American Baptist.
